BUFFALO, N.Y. — So, Josh Allen just wrapped up an epic season that got him the MVP title—pretty rad, right? You’d think he’d go for a mega payday, maybe the biggest deal ever in the NFL. But nah, that’s not really his vibe.
This dude just made waves with a fresh six-year contract worth a whopping $350 million! He’s now got the most guaranteed cash ever—$250 million. That’s insane! And while his yearly average of $55 million is solid, it’s also kind of funny because it’s still less than what Dak Prescott is raking in with the Cowboys.
“Honestly, I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing a ton here,” Allen dropped this nugget right after sealing the deal with the Bills. “Like, do I really need an extra $5 million? I’m good, man! I’ve got a nice house, a car, and life is chill.”
Allen also made it clear that he didn’t want his contract to mess with the team’s budget. He told his agent, “Hey, don’t squeeze the Bills dry. Let’s keep it friendly.”
They had a pretty chill convo during negotiations, just figuring things out without any drama, which is good for everyone involved.
This month, the Bills have been on a roll, locking in extensions for some key players like Khalil Shakir, Terrel Bernard, and Greg Rousseau. Plus, they’ve snagged some fresh talent with new signings like Joshua Palmer and Joey Bosa.
But for Allen, it’s all about that Super Bowl ring. “I just want to level up and bring that Lombardi Trophy home to Buffalo,” he said. “That’s the mission. And Brandon Beane is bringing in the right guys to help us make that happen. Let’s go!”
